The Fastener Network is the sole authorised Southern African distributor for the Swiss group, Bossard AG, one of the world’s foremost providers of fastener-related components and logistical systems. Bossard has an extensive product range, numbering in excess of 50,000 items. Over and above this, products and services may be customised in accordance with the customer’s specific requirements.
It is the Bossard group’s focus on the real needs of its customers that has kept the company a powerhouse in the industry since 1831. The group’s philosophy is to understand customer problems and solve them – which is the rationale behind its development of customised products and services for those clients with specific requirements. This is in addition to the more than 50,000 line items already offered, on which a 97 percent stockholding is obtainable. The Fastener Network affords its Southern African clients access to these products within seven days. Should the customer require it, these items can also be stocked in-house, whereupon immediate access is available.
Bossard's products are designed to enable its customers remain competitive, especially in difficult times. The group deploys uniform standards worldwide and operates in all major industrial markets. The company has a philosophy of putting trust in creativity, innovation and unconventional thinking.
In 2002, The Fastener Network opened a new division, Bolt & Tool Africa (BTA). The company stocks all major brands of power tools and hand tools, including Bosch, Metabo, Hitachi, Jonnesway, Gedore and Cromwell Kennedy.
BTA trades from spacious new premises in Linbro Business Park and boasts an impressive showroom featuring a wide range of general hardware. The business’s relocation at the end of 2005 was prompted by a larger than anticipated growth in the tool and fastener division. It has consequently enabled BTA to stock a larger variety of general hardware, designed to meet the needs of all sectors of the industry. Its counter-sales department is open to the public and one of the company’s major strengths is its ability to offer clients a quality product with a competitive price on standard items. Furthermore, every effort is made to ensure that items not carried in stock are available on a delivery or collection basis within 24-36 hours. BTA is now also in a position to be able to offer quotations on any enquiries relating to the hardware industry.
The past few years have enabled BTA to strengthen its supply chain and it has agreements to supply a number of well-known, quality brands to the industry. These include:
- Bosch
- Hitachi
- Metabo
- Jonnesway
- Gedore
- Fluke
- Ridgid
- Ingersoll Rand
In addition, many other recognized brands are available in BTA’s supply chain, which are listed under its product range. The company’s motto is: “If we don’t have it, we will source it.” |
